Gadkari assures CM to expedite road projects in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 2: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari during which discussions was held on the road projects being currently implemented in the state.

The Union Minister assured the Chief Minister that the construction of Ganga bridge in Sahibganj would commence soon as all formalities prior to that have been completed.

In the meeting between the two leaders the progress on construction of Ranchi Jamshedpur NH-33 was also taken up. The Union Minister said that no further extension would be provided for the road project and the central government would be taking a concrete decision soon over the project as it would be completed on time.

During the meeting the issue of slow pace of construction of fly over in Nagdi was also taken up after which the minister directed that the same should be taken up by NHAI and the projected be completed.

Over the three lane elvated road to be built over Kutchury Chowk to Piska Mode it was said pre-tender process has been completed for the project.

The Chief Minister on the occasion urged the union minister to further expand the network of roads in the state and approve another 1000 kilometers of raods in Jharkhand over which the minister asked to prepare the DPR after which the center would take a decision. During the meeting the issue of construction of 206 kms of road on NH-75 from Kudu to Muri was also taken up and it was agreed that the work would soon commence in this regard.
