Ranchi: The state cabinet on Tuesday decided to increase the contribution of the state in the National Pension Scheme for the government employees from 10 percent to 14 percent.
The decision will come into effect from July 1, 2021 and will cause extra burden of Rs 342 crore on the government exchequer. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building.
Briefing the press after the meeting Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that among others the government has also approved a scheme for beautification of the religious and sacred spots of the tribals in the state including Sarna-Masna-Hadgadi spots. Under the scheme a maximum work of Rs 5 crore will be taken.
Further schemes worth Rs 25 lakh will be executed be beneficiaries committee while for any other scheme whose cost is more than Rs 25 lakh a tender will be issued, she said.
Ms Daddel said that for crop relief a corpus fund of Rs 25 crore will be set. She said that under Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme the farmers will be provided relief from the interest obtained from this fund.
It was also decided to obtain the approval of the Governor over online electronic filing (e-filing) rules framed for courts and tribunals of the state. Among other she said that it was agreed to give compulsory retirement to Anil Kumar Singh Forest Range Officer of Pakur for committing gross irregularities in work. Changes have been also approved in the policy to provide jobs on compensatory grounds to the kin of government employees dying in course of service tenure.
The cabinet secretary said that for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yohana as part of share of the state a sum of Rs 85.70 crore has been approved for the year 2020-21.
