Global Agricultural Conference to be organized in Jharkhand: Raghubar

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state govt priority is to develop the society. The budget of our state and the budget of the country are dedicated to the farmers. This year under the Prime Minister’s Irrigation Scheme, Jharkhand will get Rs 600 crore from the center. Nearly 30 crores for every district will be available for irrigation. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Water Resources Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari. The Chief Minister was addressing farmers, agricultural scientists and students on the occasion of the concluding function of the Agro Tech 2018 Kisan Mela in Birsa Agricultural University.

Chief Minister Shri Das said that this year World Agricultural Conference will be organized in Jharkhand. Their income will be doubled by 2022, by connecting each farmer with agriculture, animal husbandry and horticulture. He said that work force increases through public interest. He told the scientists of Birsa Agricultural University that they should keep constant contact with the farmers and work together in coordination with each other so that agricultural yield increased in Jharkhand and we had to not procure food from the outside for the state. He said that our farmers have great potential; we just need to guide them. There is no bigger engineer than the farmer. He has to work in harmony with his farm, weather and resources. The Chief Minister asked agricultural scientists to do research to make country’s cows better than foreign breeds.

The Chief Minister said that when India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day in 2022, no citizen in Jharkhand will be unemployed, without house, without treatment and without education and there will be all-round development of farmers and villages. The Chief Minister said that our government is also emphasizing on the development of agriculture and animal husbandry. Two-two cows have been given to 25 thousand female farmers and work is being done to bring about 4 lakh 80 thousand rural women through a poultry, dairy, etc., under the Johar scheme worth 15 hundred crore.
