Armed miscreants loot Rs 3 lakh from trader in Giridih

Giridih: Unidentified bike borne miscreants on gunpoint looted cash worth nearly Rs 3 lakh from a wholesale dealer on the Chatro-Mahtotand main road under Deori Police Station area of this district on Tuesday afternoon.

Upon receiving information a police team reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. Police said that the victim Aakash Gupta a resident of Mirzagunj of Jamua was returning back after collecting money from the traders of Chatro.

On his way back near an isolated spot before a local river on the Chatro-Mahtotand road on gunpoint the five miscreants looted the cash and also attacked him with the butt of pistol due to which he fell down and the miscreants fled with the cash. The victim said that all the attackers were wearing masks and were aged between 25-30 years.
