Latehar, Jan 17: Local BJP leader cum district vice president of the 20 point programme executing committee Rajdhani Prasad Yadva slapped the DTO F Bakhla following which the leader was arrested and forwarded to jail.
Police sources said that the incident took place in the collectorate premises. The DTO was making his junior official remove the name plate from the vehicle of the BJP leader to which he objected. In the heat of the moment he slapped the DTO.
Following the incident Barla registered an FIR in the Sadar Police Station under the SC/ST Attrocities act. Post the registration of the FIR Yadav was presented before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge First Hrishkesh Kumar who forwarded him to 14 days of judicial custody.
On an earlier occasion also the DTO was involved in a heated argument with Yadav and former district unit president of the BJP Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo.
