CM inaugurates PSA plant in Sahebganj Sadar Hospital, says govt working to increase facilities

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that the state government is working to improve the healthcare facilities in the state and is trying to increase the necessary resources to provide the best possible amenities to Corona patients.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built PSA plant at Sahebganj Sadar Hospital via online mode. He said that with the establishment of the PSA plant, RTPCR Lab and two cardiac ambulances the district has moved a step forward in providing better healthcare facilities to the people. He said that the benefits of these new initiatives will be beneficial for the people of Sahebganj and other neighbouring districts.

The Chief Minister said that from this day the free of cost vaccination of the people who are in the 18 plus category has started in the state for which initially across the state 496 vaccination centres have been made. He said that in Sahebganj district at three centres these vaccinations are being given and urged the people to come forward for taking the vaccine which will help to control the spread of Coronavirus.

He said that in the rural areas the people are shying away from vaccination due to various misconceptions and rumours which needed to be done away with. He said that the government is keeping an eye on the spread of the infection in the rural areas and he is in continuous touch with the elected representatives and all the DCs. Hemant Soren said that important suggestions have been received from the MPs and MLAs. He said that the government is making efforts so that with the cooperation of all the spread of Coronavirus can be checked in rural areas.

On the occasion, he directed the DC to organise a special vaccination drive for the elected representatives including mukhiya, ward members etc as it will spread a positive message across the area and will help to remove misconceptions among the people.

He also asked the officials to make sure that social distancing is followed in haats and markets in rural areas. He said that since there is no lack of space therefore with social distancing people should indulge in buying which will also help to check the spread of Coronavirus in the area.

Those present on the occasion included Health Minister Banna Gupta, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary Health Arun Kumar Singh and others.
