Cabinet Decisions: Jharkhand Govt hikes DA by 3 pc

Ranchi, Nov 7: The Jharkhand Government decided to increase the DA of the government employees by 3 per cent.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. As per the decision it was decided that DA of the government employees would be increased from 136 pc to 139 pc with effect from July 1, 2017. Further the cabinet also decided to also increase the DA of the pensioners and family pension beneficiaries by also 3 per cent.

In another key decision the state government also gave administration approval to a proposal worth Rs 348.50 crore to set up Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal Univesrity in Dhanbad. The cabinet also approved the guidelines so that apart from BPL families such families who have annual income of Rs 72,000 can take benefit of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana. A sum of Rs 50 crore was also approved for development of parks in the state during 2017-18.

The cabinet also gave administrative approval to set up new dairy plants in Jamshedpur and Giridih districts of the state by the Jharkhand Milk Federation worth a total of 75.34 crore. In the year 2017-18 for the project a sum of Rs 22.61 crore would be spent. It was also decided that to construct offices cum godown in 426 lampx/pax under the animal husbandry and cooperative department a sum of Rs 69.17 crore would be spent.
