Weather plays ‘Hide and Seek’ in capital, Sunshine expected from Sunday onwards

Ranchi: Throughout the day on Saturday the weather played ‘Hide and Seek’ in the capitol as the sun came out for just few hours from behind the clouds and little drizzle was reported in late afternoon.

The weather department has predicted that the clouds will clear from Sunday onwards. On the other hand on Friday evening Ranchi had reported three millimetres of rainfall in just two hours however despite that the minimum temperature of the capital increased by 4 degree celsius.

The weather department has said that due to the Western disturbance a low pressure area has been built over Uttar Pradesh and adjoining regions whose impact is being felt in the neighbouring states.

The average minimum temperature in the districts of Ranchi, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Khunti, Lohardaga, Simdega, Garhwa, Palamu has been reported between 13 to 14 degree celsius while that in Godda Sahebganj and Pakur was between 17 and 18 degrees celsius and in the remaining districts the average minimum temperature was around 15 to 16 degree celsius.

Weather scientist Abhishek Anand said that going forward apart from the day temperature the temperature in the night will also increase. He said that the sky would clear from Sunday onwards. During the next one week the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 29 to 30 degrees while the minimum will hover around 15 to 16 degrees mark.
