Ranchi: The state is all geared up to celebrate the 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday during which the main function will be held at the Morhabadi Grounds where Governor Draupadi Murmu will hoist the national flag at 0900hrs and inspect the parade.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren will be participating in the Republic Day function in the sub capital of Dumka where he will unfurl the tri-color and inspect the parade. The different cabinet ministers of the state government will be participating in the Republic Day function in different districts with Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon will be present in Lohardaga while Rural Development Minister Aalamgir Aalam will participate in the function in Pakur.
Meanwhile in wake of the Republic Day celebrations in the state capital the security has been increased and apart from Ranchi Police the ATS too has been deployed. For the security in the capital apart from 10 DSPs, 60 Inspectors and 230 ASI and 1400 additional jawans have been deployed with SSP Surendra Kumar Jha himself monitoring the overall security arrangements.
Drones will be also deployed at the venue with policemen in plain clothes also deputed at the spot. In wake of the Republic Day function the traffic police has made elaborate arrangements so as to ensure smooth flow of traffic as part of which there will be no entry of heavy vehicles in the city from 0600hrs to 2200hrs.
For the vehicles which will be coming from other districts their stoppage spots have been also fixed. Vehicles coming from Chaibasa and Khunti will be stopped at Birsa Chowk while those from Gumla and Simdega will be stopped at ITI. Vehicles from Palamu and Lohardaga will be stopped at Pandra while vehicles from Jamshedpur will stop at Railway over bridge while those from Ramgarh will be stopped at Booty Mode.
The district administration has also outlined the vehicle route for the smaller vehicles. For the MPs and MLAs and other VVIPs who will be coming for the Republic Day for them routes have been fixed and parking arrangements have been also defined. For separate pass holders separate parking arrangements have been made at the venue.
