Minimum temperature once again to rise from Monday onwards

Ranchi: The minimum temperature in the capital continues to decline further however from Monday onwards it is once again likely to go up.

On Thursday the minimum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 8.5 degrees which was 1.5 degrees less than the normal temperature. The sudden decline in the temperature has once again forced the people to get back into their warm clothes. Despite the sun shining bright and high the chill and nip in the air are making people reel under the cold weather conditions.

If the words of the weather department are to be believed then for the next three days there will be no respite from the prevailing cold conditions while from January 18 onwards the temperature might increase by 3-4 degree. Weather scientist Abhishek Anand said that early morning fog will be witnessed in the capital and its surrounding areas however as the day will progress the weather will clear out.

As far as the weather across the state was concerned the temperature in many other districts including East and West Singhbhum, Saraikela, Simdega, Khunti, Gumla can further decline by 2-3 degrees while the temperature in Giridih, Jamtara and Sahebganj will remain around 5-6 degrees. In the state Kanke was the coolest at a temperature of 7 degrees while Ranchi was the hottest at 25.1 degree celsius
