Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday said that there was no lack of potential in the state and what is mostly lacking is awareness among the people.
Addressing a function while unveiling three books on the life of Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren here he said that people living in Jharkhand have struggled for the state. He said that in the initial stages of struggle there was lack of knowledge due to which there are numerous stories which could not be preserved however there are many people who saw the struggle from near, understood it and preserved for the future.
He said that there are such people who leave a mark with their struggle that writing their story of struggle on paper is a matter of pride. He said that the day belonged to the Guruji and author of the book. The Chief Minister said that the author has preserved the history of the state and has tried to make the children and the youth understand their history.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has always had the history of struggle and it has always raised voice against exploitation. He said that a time when the people of the country had not seen dreams of Independence at that time people of the area had startee writing stories of their struggle. He said that people of Jharkhand have had their own ways of struggle through which they showed their skills and won the war.
The Chief Minister said that the state government was having a close look at the internal and external potential of the state and efforts are being made so that the goals for which the forefathers had fought for a separate state and made history their dreams can be realised. He said that if people can be awakened then by the use of internal and external resources Jharkhand in the days to come can stand among the leading states of the country. He said that Jharkhand might be a small state but every community which is living here is proud of their strength.
Speaking on the occasion Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren said that in the book the Mahajani system has been highlighted which has now come to an end and for a separate state of Jharkhand agitation was also held and now people are living in the separate state.
