Ranchi: The Ranchi Police has released the pictures of a prime suspect identified as Sheikh Belal whom it sees as a prime suspect in connection with the beheaded body of girl which was found on January 3 from Ormanjhi Police Station area.
Sheikh Belal is a resident of Chandwe Basti under Pithoria Police Station area of this district. Police has urged the people to share any information regarding him on the mobile numbers of DIG Ranchi, SSP Ranchi, SP Rural Ranchi, DSP Silli and Inspector Ormanjhi.
Police has promised that any clue regarding him will be kept secret and the informant will be adequately rewarded.
Meanwhile a family from Chanho has claimed that the beheaded body of the girl is of their daughter after which samples have been collected from the couple for DNA matching and only the report will confirm that whether the victim is their daughter or not.
The family has disclosed the marks on the body of the girl which are similar to that which have been found on the body of the victim. The family has claimed that their daughter was married two years ago in Balsokra village of Chanho.
Three months into her marriage she went missing from the railway station while on her way to Delhi but was found after six months by the police and handed over to the family. Three months later she once again went missing after which the family had no information about her.
